Hudson is a voice-first navigation assistant. This policy explains what the app processes and where it goes.
Your live location is used on-device for the map, speed display, and turn callouts, and is sent to routing and weather providers (Google Maps Platform, Open-Meteo, OSRM) only to compute routes, ETAs, nearby places, and conditions. Routing providers receive location per-request and Hudson does not retain those requests. A short position/route summary is also kept in your device's server-side assistant workspace, described below, so background work stays accurate; it is overwritten as you drive and deleted with the workspace.
When the voice link is active, microphone audio streams to OpenAI's Realtime API to power the assistant. Audio is processed to generate responses. Hudson never stores recordings or conversation transcripts — not on your device, and not on our servers.
Saved places, driver preferences, taught routines, trip history, task results, and the drive log are stored locally on your device and remain the master copy. You can inspect and delete each of them inside the app (Mind tab and Settings).
So that long-running research keeps working when the app is closed or loses signal, each device has a private workspace on Hudson's server (a Cloudflare Durable Object keyed to a random device identifier — no name, email, or account).
It holds only: a mirror of the derived memory listed above (saved places and their addresses, driver facts, routines, route preferences, learned lessons), the most recent position/route summary, and the tasks you asked Hudson to run plus their results. It never holds recordings or conversation transcripts.
The mirror is replace-on-change: deleting something in the Mind tab removes it from the server copy on the next sync, and the app retries until the server confirms. Hudson operates no account system and no cross-user profile; the workspace exists only to serve your device.
No advertising, no tracking across apps or websites, no sale of data, no analytics identifiers.
OpenAI (voice and research), Google Maps Platform (routing, places, imagery), Open-Meteo (weather), SomaFM (radio streams), Ticketmaster (event search). Each receives only what is required for the feature in use, proxied through Hudson's server so credentials never live in the app.
